It’s mounted on a budget of Rs 500 crore, making
it the most expensive set in the history of Indian television.

Designed by Amit Singh and Vibhav Jhadav,
the set is built in Umbergaon, Gujarat and is spread across 9 acres. “It took
them a year and a half to complete the pre-production of the project and seven
months for constructing the sets. This is the only set which is so massive that
it contains 11 different sets, only for one show,” said Amit talking to
SpotboyE.com.

The show portrays the era of 350 BC and narrates
the story of 5 states i.e Paurav Rashtra, Takshshila Rashtra, Dasu Rajya,
Persia and Macedonia.

Porus depicts the incredible and untold story of
the greatest conqueror of the world, Alexander and the one of the greatest
defenders of India, Porus. The show will also be shot in Thailand, in Khao Sok,
Pattaya and Bangkok.

Tinu Varma is handling the action sequences on
the show. The team has also got a Thai based action director named Nung, who
had worked with Hrithik Roshan for Bang Bang!
